Day 1 Saturday: Arrival in Transylvania from LIVERPOOL
Arrival from Liverpool to Cluj-Napoca Airport with BlueAir 17:00. Visit the cathedrals of Cluj – the capital of Transylvania: Orthodox, Catholic, Reformed, Greek-Catholic. Dinner at the Hotel Lucy Star Cluj-Napoca.
Day 2 Sunday: Fortified Churches of Transylvania I -230 km
Sunday Service. Visit the Monastery of Ramet (relics of S. Ghelasie) and Church of Blaj (Greek-Catholic). Lunch in center. Visit the Fortified Church of Biertan UNESCO. Wine and coffee break in Sighisoara UNESCO. Dinner in Medias center. Hotel Central Medias (new rooms).
Day 3 Monday: Fortified Churches of Transylvania II 210km
Visit of Sibiu (the Orthodox and Evangelical cathedrals). Visit the Fortified Church of Calnic UNESCO. Lunch in Sebes. Visit of Alba Iulia fortress and cathedrals. Wine and coffee break in the center. Dinner at Grand Hotel Sibiu (Dumbrava).
Day 4 Tuesday: Churches of Wallachia and the Carpathians Mountains -250 km
Discover the Olt Defile. Visit the Monastery of Cozia. Lunch in Ramnicu Valcea. Visit the Horezu Monastery UNESCO. Ceramic of Horezu UNESCO. Visit the Royal Monastery of Curtea de Arges (relics of S. Filofteia). Wine and coffee break in the center. Dinner in Pitesti. Hotel La Cetate Pitesti.
Day 5 Wednesday: Saint Andrew’s Cave – 400 km (by A2 „the Sun Motorway”).
Discover the Great Romanian Plain. Lunch in Cernavoda – Danube. Visit the Saint Andrew’s Cave (monastery). Visit of Adamclisi and Tropaeum Traiani. Wine and coffee break in Murfatlar Winery. Dinner in Constanta. Hotel Mihaela Mamaia.
Day 6 Thursday: Martyrs and Saints of Lesser Scythia 250km
Rest on the Black Sea beach. Lunch in the center of Constanta. Visit the cathedral (relics of Christian Martyrs) and the archaeological museum (painted hypogeum tomb). Wine and coffee break in Cernavoda – Danube. Dinner at Hotel Triumf Bucharest.
Day 7 Friday: Bucharest and Snagov Monastery
Visit the House of the People (the largest building in Europe), the Patriarchal Cathedral, the Catholic and Anglican Churches and the center of Bucharest (Lunch). Visit the Snagov Monastery. Wine and coffee break in center. Dinner at Hotel Triumf Bucharest.
Day 8 Saturday: return to LIVERPOOL. Departure from Bucharest Airport to Liverpool with BlueAir 8:20.
